The Pioneers of Type 2 Magazines
In 1969 Armag Corporation began building Type 2 explosive storage magazines, then referred to as dynamite magazines, to meet the requirements of the newly enacted federal regulations on the storage of explosives. In the 1980’s the US Navy consulted with us when they developed the Type 2 US Military specifications. We have manufactured more than ten thousand explosive storage units - most of which are still in service today. Complete Compliance
We certify that our Type 2 magazines meet or exceed ATF specs, DoD 5100.76M, AR 190-11, and OPNAVINST 5530.13C (see Tech Data Sheet 2078-SHR).

Features
The 1/4" steel exterior is commercially sandblasted and painted with a high solids urethane top coat. The interior is lined with kiln dried military grade hardwoods and our floor systems are heavily reinforced. Many options are offered including explosion resistant lights and HVAC, interior divider walls, shelving, and more.
