Earthen Covered Type 2 Magazines

Armag Corporation invented the Type 2 earth covered magazine. These Armags are commonly used for ordance storage and they reduce the explosives safety quantity distance (ESQD) arc and provide additional safety to neighboring storage magazines. This ordnance storage magazine is engineered to provide the strength necessary to support the earth cover. The outer shell is coated with Line-X to provide added protection against moisture.

Bullet resistant ventilation is provided in the door to allow air flow into the unit. the optional rear mounted stack vent with rotating wind turbine enhances circulation by drawing airflow throughout the magazine. Hinged ‘wing walls’ can be added to the front of the magazine to support the earth berm.
